No matter who you are or where you live, you create waste. For centuries, people have been trying to figure out ways to make their waste “go away”. Unfortunately, it won’t just disappear. Municipal Solid Waste gets students to consider the challenges and examine possible solutions for this rather complex and seldom explored subject. Join the Utah Society for Environmental Education to learn how to use this module with students and other audiences! This module is designed for educators of youth in grades 9-12 and can be used by classroom teachers, youth group leaders, nature center staff, college professors, and many other formal and nonformal educators. Exploring Environmental Issues: Municipal Solid Waste can easily be adapted for many other age groups. For more information about this curriculum guide, please visit: http://plt.org/cms/pages/21_21_13.html Space is limited, so please RSVP to Nicole Thomas by emailing
